Fun with Numicon

This week the children have had a great time investigating the Numicon tiles. They explored how to make shapes and patterns before finding out the value of each tile. Some of the children used pegs to work out the value of the tiles whilst others explored how to make number bond sums.

How would you have used the tiles?

A New Year Commences At Little Grange September 2016

A warm welcome to all our children and their parents, we hope you will all be very happy here.

Our first week back has been brilliant, the children have all settled in to their new environments and are rapidly learning the Holme Grange way. We have been very busy bees enjoying coking, forest school, sport, music, ICT and focused learning activities.

This week the children have focused on creating postcards and using language to share preferences, using numerical skills to count jumps and to look at numbers, meet our farm characters who help us with our letter formation, forming a letter s, learning all about going camping and how to erect a tent and finally either going to forest school or cooking banana muffins. Phew what a week we will all be very tired by Friday afternoon!
